Hospice is a family-centered approach that includes, at a minimum, a team of trained nurses, social workers, personal assistants, spiritual counselors, and volunteers.
Hospice is not a place, it is a philosophy. Hospice is a way of providing care to someone when modern medicine cannot stop the progression of a disease. The dying process begins long before we are aware.
